Unfortunatley, does not contribute to this place and the music here. I feel sorry for him

...is "waah, waah, waah, let's get some heroin, baby, and overdose in each others' arms." What a bunch of shit. This crap needs to be removed from archive and also those assholes that uploaded it.

Subject: Very Nice
I will admit that I am not the biggest dcfc fan, but I heard such good things about their set at the 'roo I needed to hear it. I was watching Oysterhead, but from the way this sounds I should have seen these guys instead.

A very great, mellow set. I enjoyed their acoustic material.

I suggest this for a soundtrack on a solo road trip. It makes a great companion.

Subject: My fave DCFC so Far
I've downloaded several dcfc shows from IA. This one sounds best to my ears.

Subject: Nice set, iffy recording
Nice set, but the sound isn't great. Compared with the Stubb's BBQ one, it's not nearly as good.

Subject: Great Recording
I was at Bonnaroo, but didn't see the show, but this recording is incredible, my friend that came with me got to see them, and quotes that just hearing this download is bringing him back to the field as if he were there now.

Subject: Great DCFC set!
The quality improves after the first song or so to be a really amazing recording. I agree that the taper really went close to the edge with brickwalling but I never hear it actually happen, and the saturation is great! Very clear recording and the cheers of the crowd are very minor and just subtle enough to make you feel like you are there. A fun set. a few slow songs at the beggining but then they really kick it up and do some great high energy songs. Definately good to hear this set and all the Bonnaroo shows people are putting up. Thanks for taping!

Notes

NOTES: The area in front of the soundboard was packed, so I opted to set up just behind the soundboard and run the mics above the level of the tent. The resulting recording is quite good. I had hoped to run my PCM-M1 DAT recorder instead of the minidisc, but the DAT was having problems with loading and unloading tapes. The MD SR-60 is my old standby recorder, and did the job nicely. There are one or two dropouts, probably caused by my over six year old MD deck just being old. I also ran the MD to the brink of brickwalling to maximize the saturation of frequencies. The MD tends to sound flat with more conservative recording levels. There may be an instance or two of brickwalling. As far as I know, this is one of only a small handfull of recordings of this show.
